About 5 weeks ago, Elias was coughing, etc... and xrays showed pneumonia. He had wheezing and super high fevers and it took about 2 weeks for him to get over. WE did oral steriods, 2 antibiotics and albuterol nebulizer treatments. A few days after he seemed to be over the pneumonia he started wheezing again. This time he had a lot of tightness in his chest and O2 was low so we were sent to the ER. Chest xray was clear this time just very junky/crackly and wheezy sounding. It took 5 breathing treatments in 6 hours to get the wheezing under control. We did IV antibiotics, IV steriods and another round of oral steroids and antibiotics and nebulizer treatments. So now here we are again 2 weeks after that ER visit and he's very junky sounding again, very wheezy. So we are back on nebulizer treatments, oral steroids and an inhaler and still junky/crackly and wheezy. What do you think? I can't figure out what's going on. He's 8 now and had the transposition at birth. Saw the cardiologist this week and everything looked fine with his heart. Any thoughts?
