This is funny that I found this post! I have a totally different outlook on tubals. I had mine tied two weeks ago, I was not planning on having this done but I ended up having to have a c-section and my doctor said while she was in there I might as well have it done. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I have cried several times a day every day since then!!!!! Oh how I wish I could turn back time!!!! Please make totally sure this is what you want before going through with it, I feel like I was put on the spot and caved in! Talk it over with your husband and take your time making the decision!! I am already looking into having it reversed!!!

OH i can totally see how you would feel that way since it was a on the moment kind of thing, and it seems really uncool of the doctor to put you in that position when you hadn't even really come to terms with that whole situation...or talked it over w/hubbie and decided definitely.
It can be reversed, and you know what, stuff happens, dont feel bad.

I have my initial appointment to discuss a laproscopic tubal ligation on october 6. I have two children now and do not want any more. I had hyperemesis gravatium the entire 9 months with both pregnancies.(continuous vomiting) I am very frightened about this proceedure because I have never had any type of surgery. The only thing that has ever been done to me is an upper GI. The thought of surgery makes me want to throw up...anyone with any encouraging words on this or anyone who had similar fears, please let me know about it. I almost feel like chickening out...but it is only because of the thought of surgery, not because of second thoughts about the proceedure.
Thanks

I had my tubes tied 4 yrs ago. It went well except for the gas pains. My advice is to walk and drink hot tea while you are in the hospital. No one told me until it was too late! Other than that I was ok. I'm worried now that they will come untied! Did you hear about the 59 year old lady who had her tubes tied 33 years ago? Scary!!!!

I read that in Fridays Paper. I think she was 63 though...her youngest child 24. The other lady who is 59 had in-vitro and just delivered her twins. They were on the news this morning. The 63 year old had her tubes tied after the birth of her last child and after feeling sick for a few months and then gaining weight she went to Dr. EVERYONE was shocked to learn she was pregnant. Her ob said the tubes grew back. She too will be having twins...ala natural. She has alreadyt has great-grandkids (4)...Can You imagine????
I had my tubes tied and after reading that story...I looked up at God and told him... DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, THAT WOULDN'T BE FUNNY!!! LOL. I can't imagine chasing twins around at 63...
